KidStuffAroundTown had a “Make Your Own Christmas Card” booth at the Christmas for the Soldiers drive event today (Nov.12). There was close to 200 cards made that will be sent with care packages from the donated items today. Mayor-Elect Bruce Wilkerson showed his support during his speech with inspiring words for the troops and everyone in attendance. Senator Paul and his wife Kelley stopped by and wrote encouraging words of support for the soldiers on several Christmas cards.
Numerous Kids, Youth, and WKU students volunteered their time by making cards, running a booth, and entertaining the locals. “WAY TO GO” Girl Scout Troop #368, toddlers from Total Cheer, Greenwood JROTC, kids from Jeramy Black Academy, Dance Art girls, and Western’s Theatre group.
